Exterior Lighting of the Iconic Sea Containers Building
Project brief
To provide an eye-catching lighting and media system solution for the north façade of the prestigious Sea Containers Building, located near London’s popular South Bank cultural area.
Following a decision to redevelop the building into a luxury hotel, building developer the Byrne Group commissioned A.C. Special Projects to supply and install the Traxon LED Media Tube system, after being very impressed by the performance and potential of the product during a demonstration.
The huge scale of the building’s internal and external refurbishment project required compliance with very strict contractor regulations regarding undertaking work on-site. In addition, a number of technical and logistical challenges had to be overcome to install the fixtures to the client’s requirements and tight timescale.
