Providing a Bespoke Lighting System for The Arts Club in Dover Street

A.C. Special Projects were briefed to supply and install a bespoke lighting system for the high-profile launch party of The Arts Club, a very exclusive private members club on Dover Street in London.
 
Lighting designer Patrick Woodroffe was commissioned to help craft a unique ambience for the venue by creating a special lighting scheme for the basement’s intimate 100 capacity ‘Club Nouveau’. The lighting design is based on fixtures that evoke elegance and stylish understatement amidst the moody 1940s feel of the basement’s interior. Its secretive magical ambience is combined with a twist of contemporary funkiness and a huge amount of energy has been invested in making this comfortable, sumptuous environment a ‘live’ mixology of glamour, theatricality and expectation.
 
Having previously collaborated at Somerset House and the V&A museum in London, Patrick again approached A.C. Special Projects to source and install the equipment and recommend a flexible control system. He wanted the company on-board for their performance lighting specialist knowledge, expertise and ability to deliver the project on time and on budget to the rigorous standards of excellence echoed throughout the club.
