LED Batten Upgrade & Advanced Lighting Control for Bauer Media Outdoor

ACSP – UK – In Summer 2024, we supplied, installed, and commissioned a full lighting upgrade for Bauer Media Outdoor. This was part of a larger project to improve their digital advertising setup.

Upgrading the Existing Installation

The original setup used Traxon Nano Liner Allegro fixtures. These worked well in the past, but the main goals for the upgrade were:

Increased brightness and improved energy efficiency
Modern, future-proof control capability
Seamless integration with upgraded LED display content

The existing battens were replaced with Traxon AL Linear 2.1 RGBW fixtures. A higher-output and more efficient fixture delivered improved visual impact while reducing ongoing power and maintenance requirements.

Enhanced Control with Pharos Cloud

Besides upgrading the lighting fixtures, having better control was very important to the client. Bauer Media Outdoor wanted more freedom and creative options for managing their lighting.

With the new Pharos control system and Pharos Cloud, the client can now:

Create and manage custom lighting presets remotely
Schedule lighting changes to align with advertising campaigns
Dynamically match lighting effects to the content shown on LED displays

This cloud-based approach provides flexibility, scalability and ease of use, allowing the client to respond quickly to changing content and campaign requirements without on-site intervention.

The completed installation delivers a cohesive, high-impact visual experience that enhances the upgraded LED displays while giving Bauer Media Outdoor full control over how lighting supports their digital content.

This project demonstrates how thoughtful lighting upgrades, combined with intelligent control systems, can significantly enhance the effectiveness of modern outdoor media environments.
